Dr. Joshua Israel is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who serves as a collaborative physician, providing clinical oversight and guidance to the care team rather than direct patient care. With extensive experience in psychopharmacology, outpatient psychiatry, and emergency mental health services, he brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to supporting high-quality psychiatric care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Israel has held leadership roles including Medical Director for multiple behavioral health programs and has led psychiatric emergency and inpatient services. He has also contributed to academic medicine, teaching at institutions such as UCSF and Harvard, where he helped train the next generation of mental health professionals.
